His Lameness

Daniel MacIvor's His Greatness at the Cherry Lane Theatre, New York Post, August 26.

Much more fun: The phone rang at 8:20am this morning and what I heard when I picked up was, "Hello, this is Neil Tennant from Pet Shop Boys." No, I don't know him — I was supposed to interview him for a preview of next week's PSB shows. Still, it's a great way to start the day. More when the piece comes out, obviously.

Hello, Elisabeth
Excuse me for this, but what do you mean? - were you going interview Neil for New York Post publication?

How surreal. I want the Pet Shop Boys to call me!

Yes, it was for a preview of the Pet Shop Boys' upcoming local shows. The piece will be in the New York Post on Tuesday, and will focus on the theatricality of their live shows. Stay tuned!

That's great, thank you - looking forward to nice reading!

Elisabeth, sorry for bothering you one more time.
I want to ask you, did you recorded your phone talk with Neil?
Excule me for an intervention in such private territory...

I did record it, yes. But I don't share my interviews, in case that was going to be your next question!

Yes, I knew that it was tactless (confusing and terrible tactless, sorry), and what the answer would be - but as we say, "nothing ventured - nothing gained".
Well, maybe many decades after this interview will see the light, finally :)...
Any way, thank you for pleasant reading, Elizabeth!
