Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo

Rajiv Joseph's Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo was a Pulitzer finalist last year, but the true reason it's on Broadway is that Robin Williams is in it. I wasn't overly impressed — as with Gruesome Playground Injuries a few months ago, Joseph bites more than he can chew.

You're so nonplussed. An all-star of ambivalence.

What's your secret?

Technically "nonplussed" means being at a loss, unable to say something -- which I don't think is my problem when reviewing shows! The thing is, in theater as in life, not everything is all good or all bad, all positive or all negative. Call it ambivalence if you will -- I don't think it's a bad term.
