Can I just say thank you for writing a really approachable review? I get such a better feeling of the fatal flaws here than I did in Brantley's review. Excited to see your tenure at the Post start so well (if not on a great review...oh well).
a great review. you hit the nail on the head about the direction. the show is so inately wonderful that it really is such a shame they so clearly missed on the production.
I'm a Brooklyn-based writer/editor specializing in entertainment and outdoors recreation. Past jobs include drama critic/features writer at the New York Post and arts & entertainment editor at Time Out New York.
Why all the French stuff? I am, indeed, from France, and have been living in America for over 25 years.
