David Mamet's latest, Race, opened last night. Ayee! It's not that it's offensive or provocative — the play's too badly put together for that. Recommended only to die-hard James Spader fans.

I must say I am a die hard James Spader fan and I loved the play...my best friend on the other hand could care less about James and she too loved the play. Perhaps it is for more folks than just die hard fans. We had no problems discussing the play for the two hour drive home Sunday evening.

Why all the French stuff? I am, indeed, from France, and have been living in America for over 25 years.

Ah well, we'll have to agree to disagree. I did spend a certain amount of time discussing it with colleagues, I'll grant you that!
