I wanted to thank you for recommending "Shadow on the Cloud" in the NYTimes as an overlooked Sci-fi film. We watched it last night, and thought it was a brilliant take on the look and sound of misogyny:

a young woman who is much more than she seems, the men on the plane who talk at her as if she were nothing but a sex object and who cut her off when she tries to go toe to toe with them;

a woman locked into a tiny space below those men by them;

a woman willing to risk all to fight for her child, and who literally has to multi-task to do it (fight back against the crew, the gremlin, the enemy planes, her own excruciating pain ...;

a woman who not only proves her mettle over and above her vulnerability, she literally rips off her sleeve (Rosie the Riveter just rolled hers up) to save the remaining crew.

The theme is delightfully summed up with the flames burning up the "Fools Errand" image of a babe riding a bomb.

In our humble opinion, it's a film that deserves to be seen and discussed much more. Kudos to the writer and director, and to you for singling it out. I would have never seen it if I hadn't read your article.
